Today it seems more and more people are struggling with their finances, their business, their health, family crisis and the list goes on and on doesn't it?   So many are crying out in prayer for God to rescue them!   When it appears that many others are positive and prospering.  Why is this?  

Why are we always waiting on God to do everything for us when actually God is waiting on US to take action and do something!  Faith without action is dead remember? 

There's a story about a man who was in a flood. this story was also told in the movie, 'The Pursuit Of Happiness', with Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith, about the real life story of Chris Gardner's nearly one-year struggle with homelessness.

Here's how it goes...

It rained and rained and the water kept rising by his house and some rescuers came by with a boat and said "get in we are here to rescue you!" The man said "no thanks, my God will save me!"  But the water kept rising and the man climbed higher and then a helicopter came and they said "get in we are here to rescue you!" But the man said "no thanks, my God will save me!" 

The water just kept rising higher until he was on the top of his roof with no hope left.   The winds were raging!  Then all of a sudden out of know where, a miracle, another helicopter came by and they said "it's time to get in now or you will drown!  We have been sent here to rescue you!" But the man insisted "No thanks!  My God will save me!" 

Then the water covered his house and he drowned, then he went to heaven.  When he saw God he said, "God WHY didn't you rescue me?!"   Then God said very quietly...I tried man, I sent you a boat and two helicopters and you refused them all!".....

Sometimes all it takes is a little faith, even as small as a mustard seed, to step out of the boat and trust the rescue when it's presented to us...take action to help ourselves when God sends us help for our situation!
